Happy Thanksgiving
To those of you who reside in the United States, let me wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope that all of you have much to be thankful for on this day. I know I do...

And one of the things I give thanks for are my on line friends, who have been so kind, so warm and so supportive during the time I've been here at LiveJournal. Old friends or new, I love you all. (And I'm speaking of 'old' as in how long I've known you, certainly not your age!)

I've been very happy and well-fed today -- and able to help with the feeding of others, less fortunate. I feel graced to be able to spread some goodness around.

My thoughts and prayers accompany this short message of holiday greeting -- going out to non-Americans as well as Americans.

Sorry it's been so long since I updated. I'm in the midst of my life adjustments and will share more later on that front!

I'm fascinated to see that the new community we're still in the middle of getting started is already drawing new members! (It's a community to help people better understand things here at LJ: l_j_for_dummies.) Actually, it's not quite ready to go, but if we can answer questions, that's a good thing!

Please be kind to yourselves today and every day. God bless you.

Thanks, Michael
And a very Happy Thanksgiving (a bit belatedly) to you, too!

Thanks, man. I hate Thanksgiving, of course, but I appreciate the good thoughts. Hope all is well with you!

I check periodically and you obviously are not going to authorize me to view entries after this date (and I can't fault you for that), but I am going to go ahead and unfriend you. I dont think there is anything in my journal that interests you and your spiritual journey was what interested me, but I don't know if that is even something you ever talk about here. It is not something I would talk about openly myself. If I am mistaken and there is actually something you want to see in my journal let me know and Ill add you back. No need to keep me on your list either way. No hard feelings. Just cleaning up my list.

I think this is clearly a misunderstanding. I'm sorry to lose any friends here -- and that assuredly includes you.

I've been entirely inactive at LJ during 2006. (I'm hopeful this will be changing soon. Not that it matters, really.)

I certainly understand if you wish to remove me from your friends. I admit I've never entirely been able to comprehend why people feel a need to remove inactive individuals, but if that's your practice I won't bother to argue with it.

(Obviously if you unfriend me, I'll do the same in return...)

And no hard feelings whatsoever. Good luck with your life and your blog.

Unless people are posting pics, vids, or fics featuring Jared Leto I usually prefer they not post (or not appear on my fl page especially sans lj-cut). You are the exception (don't you feel special)

As long as I kept you on my f list I was going to follow the link to keep checking for updates so I decided to remove the temptation. As you can see it did not work.

I still want to remove approx 50% of my f list and regret using friends locked posts thus encouraging friends requests. I realize that to be unfriended is sometimes (often?) taken personally and that makes it awkward to return to the managable list I once had. I can be an asshole, but I'm a relatively sensitive asshole.

Soooo you are a maintainer of lj-for-dummys. Your mission, should you accept it, is to write a script to customize the default friends page without having to use a special link.
